Carmine: December Edition

MyFace Cosmetics - Blingtone in Crystalline Green (full size) £9.99

Green is my favourite colour so I am pleased I received this shade. I actually wore it on Christmas day over a green shadow from a No7 palette. It's a very pretty sparkly green that is very buildable. There are a few different shades I have seen on their website that may need to be purchased!
I was going to do a Christmas FOTD but got a bit busy being the chefs assistant due to my mum breaking her ankle!

This product is designed to cut your blow drying time in half. It's not really something I need as my hair is thin and dries in no time at all! I have seen a couple of reviews and it does seem to work though so probably a good product for people with thicker hair.

Now for some reason I only took pictures of the two products above, I think I may have got distracted and forgot about the rest! So reviews sans pictures.

Japonesque - Smudger Brush (full size) £14 - You can get these from Boots but website down at the moment.
This is my most favourite product in the box. The brush is very soft and a wonderful tool to use. I love that Carmine have added something different to the usual products and brushes are most welcome! Do you think if I wished hard enough they will include the Sigma F80 brush in the next box? ;)

I am unsure of the smell of this product, can't decided if I like it or not! I haven't used it yet due to having so many shower gels to use but the reviews I have seen are good ones!

This is a light reflecting cream that gives you an instant glow and provides deep moisturisation. I have enjoyed this product so far. It's fairly thick in consistency but doesn't feel too heavy on the skin, I am not sure about the instant glow but it is definitely lovely and moisturising. I have only been using this at night.

Bonus: Benito Brow Bar- Free Eyebrow threading. Nice touch, I have had threading done (In Vietnam) but not my eyebrows. Looking forward to getting these done!

I do hope they include full size prices on the product card as it is something that everyone wants to know. They have also this time included the twitter names of the brands which I really like as I am mainly on there rather than facebook.

This hasn't greeted me with as much enthusiasm as the last 2 boxes unfortunately. A great box by no means but I couldn't help being swept away with all the hype surrounding Christmas boxes and was expecting a bit more...I don't know pizazz maybe! Still a lovely bunch of goodies and the brush being worth it for me.

What were your thoughts on the December box?

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year xx

  1. Hi-Its a bit naughty to say this, because the box is fabulous when you consider the price you pay for it,but I do think the other two boxes were better. However, still loving Carmine & think their boxes are great-so's their customer service from the experience I've had of them. And just to add...Ive ordered my first full size 'BB find' in the KMS spray. Doesn't just dry hair more quickly;also leaves it very soft, manageable & less flyaway [which is something I had a problem with] xx

  2. Possibly they have gone all guns blazing with the first two fabulous boxes! Of course the value of the box is still amazing and worth the price we pay, the brush is gorgeous and the eyeshadow and cream are fab. I may give that spray a go then if it makes your hair less flyaway as that is something that happens with my hair from time to time x

  3. I am on the fence with Carmine because they have got my address totally wrong two months running despite assurances they'd fix it after the first error. Love the box but hate the service! x
