Estee Lauder Double Wear Max Coverage Review

I tried a sample of Estee Lauder Double Wear (the regular formula) which I really did get on with but due to my skin being particularly bad during this winter my red cheeks still shone through. So when I had read great reviews of the maximum coverage formula I decided to pop to Debenhams to try a swatch. The assistant didn’t really match me correctly but luckily I didn’t dive in and buy that shade and waited!
The foundation comes in their iconic packaging and is in a handy and easy to use style tube.

WARNING…So um here is a picture of how hideous my skin is at the moment… scary..
After application..

A little really does go a long way and blends in seemlessly but you do have to work a bit quicker than normal as the bit I squeezed on my hand dried fairly quickly. I used the Stippling Brush from Real Techniques to blend and you can see my review here. It definitely does not feel cakey on the skin but instead light and fresh which I wasn’t expecting due to it’s quite thick consistency. The coverage is pretty great and does look better in real life than on camera. Also I am less shiny (result!) I couldn’t really detect a smell either which I prefer in face products normally!
I whole heartily love this foundation. The coverage for my skin in winter is great and feels lovely on the skin, this will probably be the only time I use it throughout the year mind you as I don’t need as much coverage in the summer. So which means it will last me ages and worth paying the ยฃ26.50 it costs! Well actually I got 10% off so it was that little bit cheaper.
I bought mine from Debenhams but I advise before buying to get a few swatches on your face and go outside in the daylight with a mirror to check matches.
Anyone else love this foundation as much as I do?
