Real Techniques brushes are designed by the beautiful Samantha Chapman. For those who don’t know Sam she is part of the Pixiwoo duo with her equally gorgeous sister Nicola on You Tube. Both are makeup artists and I have been obsessively watching their videos for the past few months and have picked up so many amazing makeup tips!
When I heard Sam was coming out with a range of brushes I knew I just had to try them. The brushes are Vegan and made from taklon bristles. They have a small range but all the classic/regular brushes you would need to start off with.
I needed or rather wanted the Sigma F80 but due to shipping charges and being just over my budget I have never purchased it. So I decided to try out the Stippling Brush as I thought it might be similar.
Fairly simple packaging, you don’t need much with a brush though do you? I love the design, the handle is a bright but almost dusky pink, they also have brushes in a gold/bronze and purple colours too. The really cool part about the handle is that is has a flat bottom so you can stand it up. It’s probably not something I would need but always good to have the option!
The brush is very soft and and a pleasure to use. It is shorter and denser than my e.l.f stippling brush but that is a good thing. I use it for foundation and I can get a good buffing motion with the brush. It helps blend in my foundation seamlessly and I much prefer using it to my Mac foundation brush where I need to use my fingers to blend after use…although it might not be helped by the build up of foundation on the brush! (yes I have washed it but it won’t budge!)
I am in love with this brush and so highly recommend it, I now have the Core Collection in sight!
I bought my brush from Victoria Health as it had the cheapest delivery at £2 and also arrived pretty quickly! The stippling brush retails at £10.99 which is possibly over some peoples budget but worth it due to the lovely quality and I am sure it will last along time.
You can check out their Facebook page here and not sure how long they are going for but they are giving a brush away every Friday!
