Model Co Fibre Lash Review

I first heard of fibre lashes from the lovely Really Ree’s blog and have been dying to try them since. I actually bought some from Ebay (unknown brand) but actually haven’t tried them yet! When I was at Olympia Beauty a few weeks ago they had the Model Co Lashes for £10 instead of the normal £35! Erm bargain alert! Not one to knock a bargain I grabbed it quicker than you could say ‘bargain alert’..yes that quick 😀
Danni Minogue is the face of the brand and looks like they have been around for a few years with first winning Australian Beauty Awards Most innovative new product in makeup in 2010.
Danni Minogue quote “I love my instant false lashes in a bottle – it’s your secret weapon for a flirty flutter!”
Their description

In just seconds, ModelCo’s revolutionary mascara – FIBRE LASH Brush on False Lashes, extends your own eyelashes to extreme lengths acting like instant false lash extensions. This innovative 3-phase system comes complete with 2 easy to use formulations; the EXTENSION MASCARA and the revolutionary brush-on LASH FIBRES. After one application of the EXTENSION MASCARA, the LASH FIBRES will adhere to your own lash follicles, building volume and length. Another coat of the lightweight EXTENSION MASCARA formula secures the LASH FIBRES in place. The more you apply the moredramatic the result.
So basically first off you use the mascara included. Then you apply a layer of  fibres, wait 30 seconds and apply another layer of the mascara and voilà longer sexy lashes. I was quite astounded by the results to be honest! I do feel like they could be thicker but the length is awesome. This lasted all day without flaking but I did feel like my lashes were heavy as the day went on and was itching to get them off. They did wipe off very easily with micellar water and left no damage to my lashes – I haven’t heard that they do, but thought I’d throw that in.
I did apply a slick of YSL Shocking mascara – review here – over the top just for giggles and my lashes did look a little thicker but oh so spidery! Not the best look. I will try the YSL instead of the mascara that is provided one day and let you all know what I think *hangs everyone on tenterhooks*
I had a chat with the girl who sold me the product at Olympia and these can be used until they run out unlike mascara which has a 3ish month shelf life (which I hope is true!)
I think fibre lashes are a brilliant way of lengthening your lashes without the aid of falsies as we all know they can be a bit of a faff to apply. A touch pricey but worth it in my opinion especially if they do last a while as you can save them for special occasions.
What are you thoughts on fibre lashes? Yay or nay?

I tried this last year – had my eyelash extensions removed and was left with 'stubble'. This worked really well and I still have loads of fibres left so good that I can still use them. What a bargain price you got it for – I'd have bought a couple! xx

Wow this is awesome! I have stubby lashes but am too stingy to purchase this sadly 🙁

Just realised I wasn't following you – doh. I am now!

I love this stuff, I just don't like how stringy the mascara is when you remove it. Definitely makes my lashes look really long though, with no clumps -wahey!

I didn't find the mascara stringy though x
