Another new palette to hit the MUA stand is their all Matte offering. With 10 pans of neutral shades to choose from the matte palette makes great everyday eyeshadow looks. I rather like the new way MUA present the shadows in this and the Smokin palette, in square form rather than circles as I think they look more high end.
I am without doubt much more of a matte eyeshadow fan. I don't mind a bit of shimmer here and there but matte is where I feel more comfortable with, especially in day-to-day makeup. My favourite and most used matte palette is Stila In the Know, unfortunately I am a bit of a makeup flooze and can't help picking up new pretty products to find out if the grass really is greener.
As with the smokin palette the shadows are really soft and blendable. The pigmentation is pretty good, perhaps not great as the smokin palette but for a £4 palette you can't knock it. The worst offender pigmentation wise is fade and the black shade smoke isn't as deep as you would hope but we'll forgive them right? The top 4 light neutral shades look slightly different in the pan they show pretty similar on swatch and applied, personally I think they could have varied those a little more.
With a eye primer the shades lasted around 8/9 hours before I took them off for the night. Without around 4/5 hours so I would suggest using a primer if you need them to last all day. I have been wearing unwrap as a highlight, then fade mixed with a touch of penny all over and truffle in the crease. If you fancy delving into matte shades then I would highly recommend trying out MUA. Incredible value for money! £4 well spent.
