This year I seem to have a lot of face creams on the go and I thought I would tell you about my three favourites of the moment.
Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream
I don’t think I have tried any skincare from Antipodes that I haven’t liked and this cream was no exception. It’s been a while since I have had any products from them in my stash and I had forgotten how much I love the brand. The cream is lightweight as the name suggests and sinks into the skin very quickly and nourishing as it goes. It instantly smooths out any texture while mattifying the skin creating a great base for makeup. Rejoice is also good for plumping up the skin and reducing fine lines which make it a perfect choice for us over 30’s lot! You don’t need a lot to cover your face too but I will say it’s not the most pleasant scent I have ever encountered, however, I have loved this from the first use and with it being mattifying I will continue to be my spring/summer day cream of choice! The ingredients include Lavender, shea butter, rosehip, macadamia nut oil, avocado and jojoba.
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream
Bobbi Brown isn’t a brand on my radar to be honest. I am just not that fussed with the makeup and I didn’t even realise they sold skincare (yes I live under a rock). I may have to research more into the latter now that I have tried this face cream. It’s absolutely lovely and luxurious and has kept my skin hydrated over the winter months. I can’t say it has the best natural ingredients line up as dimethicone is top alongside alcohol but I have not experienced any issues. It does contain lavender, Rose, Seed Oil and Algae Extract.
Sanctuary Spa Overnight Face & Neck Créme
This cream was in my Beauty Bible package and while it isn’t a brand I would normally go for, I still gave it a go and I actually quite like it! It does contain mineral oil which is disappointing but the results are good so if you are on a budget and don’t mind mineral oil in your products then this is one to try. It’s as you can guess a night cream and unlike some this one isn’t too rich and suffocating but does pack a punch when it comes down to hydrating the skin and I wake up the next day to soft and smooth skin.
