A Charlotte Tilbury Haul & Review

Just before Christmas when Cult Beauty they a GWP, I made a little Charlotte Tilbury. I have been wanting the First Love blush and the Glastonbury lippy for yonks. I also picked up the contour brush as I still haven’t found ‘the one’.

I’ll start off with the most disappointing item I ordered, the contour brush. It works OK at dispositing powder in the hollow’s of the cheek’s but the bristles are far from soft which is not what I was expecting. I would go as far as say it’s quite scratchy! Not for me at all and at that price I was not particularly happy.  Did anyone else get on with it and I just get a bad one?

I absolutely love the blush! Apart from it looking like a boob though. The nude shade is very much me as I don’t often wear ‘colour’s’. I’ve tried using the lighter, outside shade over the cheek and the ‘nipple’ part as a pop of colour in the center but, I’m not keen on that look so I just swirl both shades together and it leaves a gorgeous subtle nude shade.

Glastonbury is a beautiful berry shade that does look darker in the tube than on the lips. I had forgotten that CT’s matte revolution range is really not all that matte once dried so I do find that there is a light sheen to Glastonbury. Another downside is that it is not all that long lasting, which is disappointing. I do think CT’s products are lovely to use but I do find they are a little overpriced and overhyped.

You can not get CT from Cult Beauty!  Are you a fan of Charlotte Tilbury?

I love the Charlotte tilbury products that I have purchased and its great that Cult Beauty sell CT so I can buy more products whenever they do a GWP.

I definitely need to try some blushers from Charlotte Tilbury. If the eyeshadow palette and brow gel I’ve tried are anything to go by I’m assuming I’ll love them. Will definitely steer clear of the brushes though 🙂
